Anyone on it yet?
I never even got to Vista and thats out of date already FFS.
My youngest son has been on the test version of seven and says it's brilliant ...best yet but now they have officialy released it they say he can no longer use the beta version and has to pay full wack ...so he's gone back to XP.
I'll be looking for a pirated version of seven. silent

It's about time they went back to numbers rather than silly names or years.

I remember Windows 2 Embarassed

I've heard differing opinions about it.

Autumn's dad bought it for his laptop and desktop, and he's had a few problems, mostly on the laptop, which is quite a high spec Sony Vaio laptop. The drivers don't work properly, things keep crashing.

There are some good things on it. It sets up a home network a lot easier than Vista or XP. It works the same way, just easier to set up.

It's easier to connect to wireless networks, it's easier to use on that part.

It gives you "libraries" of all your similar types of documents, music, videos, word docs etc, it groups them together easier.

However, some of the GUI is a step back. It's a lot harder to change folder icons to custom ones etc.

I wouldn't recommend getting it just yet, wait until some of the bugs are fixed before you take the plunge.

I'm really not an upgrading kind of person with anything I 'spose.
I'm quite happy with XP.
I have another pc running on Linux ...Intrepid Ibex.
I'm happy ...leave me alone.
I'm not doing anything or likely to be ...that needs an7ything upgrading whatsoever.
Phones ...clothes ...cars ...tools ...furniture.
I don't understand the urge.
