Nightime.

Arrives earlier by the day ...sun seems to fall out the sky in the afternoon and the darkness arrives.
Hundred and fifty years ago ...gas light arrived and clubs and cafes and factories started operating in the gas lit light.
People who stayed in would be knitting and sewing ...making beer cleaning tools playing board games.
No salads when the dark times arrive. Big hearty meals and stronger darker wine and good beer ...flames flickering.
Nowadays ...our lighting has almost banished darkness ...twenty four hour shopping in dazzling light.
Twenty four hour everything.
But ...some say that light has made night ...more accessible ...others think it has almost destroyed it.
So ...go out tommorow night ...and look at the full moon ...it'll be the same full moon I'll be looking at from somewhere else.
If you can't see it ...walk or drive till you can ...and remeber the night .
Enjoy the dark and windy nights to come ...by being in it now and again.

I like the early hours no matter what the time of year! it's always dark at 2am! Very Happy

Ok, because all the boys in my life are safe and asleep! it's the only time that I don't have to worry about a single fucking thing! and it's the only time I can really chill! Smile

If the sky is clear tomorrow night I'm going to drive down the coastal express way which skims the Irish sea and bores through mountains and at one point goes under the sea.
In the town of Conwy ...withing the castle walls ...I'll be getting fish and chips which I'll eat on the bobbing jetty where the full moon ...the colour of bone ...will be lighting up the harbour ...I hope.
