The comedian Jimmy Carr has taken some flak about some of his material in his live shows.
Mainly jokes about soldiers returning from Afghanistan and Iraq with limbs missing ...it has sparked huge debate.
What do you think?

The joke that has sparked debate and condemnation from those who like to get outraged on the behalf of others was this ...

'Say what you like about those servicemen amputees returning from Iraq and Afhganistan but ...we're going to have a fucking good paralympic team in 2012'.

I've always thought that Jimmy Carr was a bit of a low life, personally. 'Jokes' like that are pathetic.

It turns out that Jimmy does a lot of visiting of returning injured troops and gets a lot of his material from them.
The troops are the ones backing him in the debate this joke has sparked saying ...this is the kind of humour that troops in action use to help sustain them.

Some of his other stuff ...about fat people?
It turns out that fat people are falling about laughing at themselves at his shows and queing up for his autograph after the show.
It has sparked an interesting debate in media and entertainment circles about political correctness not having managed to kill British humour.
