He's not done a fucking days work since I first came across him on the Mirror.

He was thinking about a job last week ...is that whats tired him out?

It IS rotten to be out of work though. Especially if you are used to working, and from what I know Micky was.

My son was made redundant 3 times, in the last couple of years. He is in the building trade, and thats been very hard hit.

He would get up in the mornings, and spend hours writing application forms out, traipsing round (on foot, his car had been stolen)
Desperately following up leads that led nowhere. Twice he found work, only to be layed off again. Touch wood his job now is more permanent.
I know he would have been hard pressed to see the funny side, when he was getting increasingly desperate.

You know his being out of work is a touchy subject. It read like a piss-take and of course, what you're really thinking is that he is a state scrounger ..... you just don't want to say that and everyone knows that

In fact I think everyone should get what they jolly well can.

Bullshit Jack. I spent years drunk in london and I am married to an ex-infantry man who would consider this banter childs-play so don't try saying its because we don't understand banter. That wasn't banter, that was two adults acting like children. You stepped over the mark, considering Mickey is meant to be a friend.

As for the work situation from what I can gather the information from all around the world is jobs are very hard to come by these days, but then if Lexi is not in the work market because of her illness then how in the fuck would she know this?

She doesnt, it is just easier to rip the piss out of someone misfortune so when people do it to her because of her illnesses she can't get on her high horse anymore.

I'm not saying it does - I know ALL about being torn apart on forums ... been there, done that, bought the t-shirt and went through hell, along with a very dear friend of mine who has been ripped apart over her very serious illness.

So I'll say it again, Lexi should know better.
